While the faces of people in East Asia, Korea, China and Japan, are similar, their languages are very different. Koreans became aware of this over 600 years ago and created their own original letters called Hangul. These have become the seed recently for letters in visual cultures or visualism and have made many flowers bloom in the field of letters. Letters are, therefore, the climax of festivals, cultures and aesthetics. Hangul reflects most strikingly how modern the Korean visual culture is. How then does that "difference" appear in modern Korean visual designs. Ahn Sang-Soo
