Studio Spass and Team Thursday are graphic design studios based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ second-largest city.
With typography at the core of their work, they have expanded their practice into visual identities, publications, and spatial objects, while continuing to approach materials and scale with curiosity and an experimental spirit.
This exhibition introduces the distinctive design of Rotterdam, a thriving port city, which differs somewhat from the widely familiar image of Dutch design centered on Amsterdam, thereby broadening perceptions of design in the Netherlands.
