An exhibition like this for the debut of a new character was a first experience for me. I tried the area of picture books, came up with 44 types of characters and made 19 stories to go with each. It was the first time I tried to make works for a picture book. They required an entirely different strength from that for posters. There were a variety of reactions after they came out and many picture books sold. It was encouraging for me to find out that children loved the book even though their father did not understand it.
