・Japan Graphic Design Association(JAGDA)
The Japan Graphic Design Association was established in 1978. As the largest design organization in Asia, numbering approximately 3,000 members, JAGDA carries out a range of activities to improve the communication environment through design, such as publishing the Graphic Design in Japan annual, organizing exhibitions and seminars, addressing design education, public service design, and regional development promotion as well as international exchange. The award exhibition featuring the winners of the Yusaku Kamekura Design Award and the JAGDA New Designer Award, selected every year from works included in the Graphic Design in Japan annual, will be simultaneously hosted at the ginza graphic gallery in Ginza, Tokyo.

・Yusaku Kamekura Design Award
Aiming to take graphic design in new directions, the Yusaku Kamekura Design Award, established in 1999, celebrates the achievements of Yusaku Kamekura (1915–97), who was highly influential in the world of design. The award is presented every year to the best design among the works included in the Graphic Design in Japan annual. Respecting the wishes of Kamekura, who pursued the artistry and essence of graphic design, the award honors graphic design that is universal and innovative.
This year, the 26th award is presented to the KAMIZU art project and its designer Issay Kitagawa. KAMIZU communicates the spirituality, values, and ideas of Japanese culture to a wide audience by developing a range of items and events featuring characters inspired by a multitude of spirits. The project is developed in various ways through collaboration with shrines and long-established stores mainly in Kyoto, Kobe, and Tokyo. Hugely influential with the younger generation of designers since the 1990s, Kitagawa has created a project that has drawn high acclaim for its counterintuitive direction and outstanding creativity.

・JAGDA New Designer Award
Selected from entries included in the Graphic Design in Japan annual, the JAGDA New Designer Award is presented every year to promising graphic designers (aged 39 or younger) with a bright future ahead of them. The award, presented to a total of 125 designers since 1983, enjoys a high profile in the design and advertising community as a gateway to success in the field. This year, Mariko Okazaki, Shunta Sakamoto, and Agata Yamaguchi were selected for the 42nd JAGDA New Designer Award after a rigorous screening of 139 new designers eligible to receive the award.
